Nokia touch and type phone lands India

Nokia, the largest mobile phone maker in the world,has announced its debut in ‘Touch and Type ‘ design by launching two
models,X3-02 and
C3-01 in Indian market.
Touch and Type phones provide consumers with
the best experience with
the phones having
touchscreen facility and the keypad. Nokia X3-02 nad Nokia C3-01 both are
3G enabled and Priced at Rs 8,839 and Rs9,389,
respectively.
Nokia X3-02 has a 2.4
inch Touchscreen inch
touchscreen with 240×320
pixel resolution. The
traditional alpha-numeric
keypad makes it unique
from other models
available in market. It also
has a powerful 5
megapixel camera, FM
radio , Bluetooth, Wi-Fi
and 32 GB micro SD
support.
Nokia C3-01 also has a
touchscreen and traditional
keypad. This new mobile
provides a 2.4-inch
resistive touchscreen with
240×320 pixels resolution.
It would provide 40MB
internal memory, but would
also support a 32GB micro

manager (South), Nokia
India, said this innovation
is based on in-depth
research and consumer
feedback which reveal that
mobile users who have
invested years in
becoming fast one-handed,
one-thumb texters want to
maintain their speedy edge
for SMS, chat and instant
messaging and yet enjoy
the benefits of
touchscreen technology
too.
“ The two new Touch and
Type devices by Nokia are
designed for those who
like to stay connected and
share experience with
their social group,

added. Nokia X3-02 comes
equipped with dedicated
music and messaging keys,
with just 9.6-mm width,
making it one of the
“slimmest Nokia phones
ever” , he said.

Indian telecom added 13mn GSM subscribers

India’s GSM subscriber base grew 2.53 percent in January with the addition of
13.71 million mobile phone
users, of which telcom giant
Bharti Airtel alone signed up over 3.3 million.
The total number of subscribers in the country crossed 556.68 million as against 542.97 million the
previous month, data released by COAI

All new sony ericsson yendo

Sony Ericsson Yendo W150i , a walkman
branded touchscreen phone is now available in India
with Flipkart, an Indian Online Retailer . Yendo
W150i was announced back
in August 2010 but so far it
was not available for Indian
market.
W150i interface is same as the one found on Android
based XPERIA X10 mini and XPERIA X10 mini
pro but it is not a
smartphone, however it has some interesting
features like 2.6 inch capacitive touch screen, a
3.5 mm audio jack and a 2 megapixel camera. The
Yendo runs on Sony ’ s own
touch optimized proprietary
operating system

Nokia and reliance partners

Nokia and Reliance
Communications, under a
unique partnership has
announced the launch of
the
India chapter of
Ovi Store . Reliance
Communications will be the
first service provider to
offer integrated operator
billing for their consumers
in India enabling access to
a host of paid for content
on the Ovi Store. The
amount will be either
included in their monthly
mobile phone bills or
deducted from the pre-
paid balance, per their
data plans.
The Ovi Store includes a
wide array of content file
types including engaging
applications, games,
videos and podcasts.
Users can enhance their
mobile experience and
immerse themselves in
various fun-filled apps.
Alone in India Ovi Store
has more than 4.5 million
downloads a week.
